Clay Douglass And His 89th Cooking Secret: Vegetarian Bolognese Sauce December 1, 2010

This recipe is perfect for all vegetarian families and kids will love it, please try Clay Douglass Vegetarian Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients: 1 onion, 4 tablespoons of olive oil,  
400g of  mushrooms, 
1 garlic clove,  425 g can of crushed tomatoes, 
 
4 tablespoons of tomato paste, 
1 teaspoon of mixed italian herbs,  
Salt and pepper, 600g of Spaghetti.

Instructions: Fry the onion, finely chopped in a pan with oil and cover for 5 minutes. Add garlic and mushrooms (finely chopped), mix and continue to fry for  5 minutes more minutes. Then add the tomatoes, the tomato paste and the italian herbs, mix all the ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes approximately. Finally add salt and pepper to taste.

On a separate pot cook the spaghetti as indicated in the package. Serve the spaghetti with the sauce. If you like you can add some fresh grated parmesan cheese on the top.
