Clay Douglass And His 87th Cooking Secret: Clay´s Lasagna November 26, 2010

Its a must, you have to try Clay Douglass Special Meat Lasagna.

Ingredients for the meat sauce: 
normal lasagna sheets, 2 large onions, 
750 g  of minced beef,  3 tablespoons tomato paste, 
800 g of diced tomatoes (preferably canned), olive oil
, 2 cloves of garlic, 
4 teaspoons of fresh rosemary,  
2 tablespoons of  fresh basil leaves, 
1 tablespoon of dried oregano,  2 cups mozzarella and grilling cheese (shredded), margarine, 
salt and pepper as desired.
 For the white sauce: 1 egg, 500 g of ricotta cheese and 
pepper as desired.

Instructions: Preheat oven at 180 C. Start with the meat sauce by frying the onions in olive oil. then add the mince beef and fry all together. Next, add the garlic and herbs and then the tomato paste, the diced tomatoes and salt and pepper as desired. Mix well all the ingredients and cook for 20 minutes. For the white sauce, add  in a medium size bowl the ricotta cheese, egg and pepper and then mix well.

Finally to make the lasagna, rub a baking dish with margarine. Put a layer of lasagna sheets on the bottom of the pan, then add a layer of meat sauce on top, then a layer of white sauce and finally a layer of mozzarella and grilling cheese. Continue adding layers until the pan is full. Bake for 30 minutes approximately.
