Clay Douglass and his 40th Cooking Secret: Breakfast Casserole March 31, 2010

Time for a new Clay Douglass Cooking Secret: Breakfast Casserole.

Ingredients: 8 slices bread, 6 eggs, crusts removed, 4 tablespoons butter, 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese,
5 eggs, beaten well, 2 cups half and half, 1 pound hot sausage, salt to your liking.

Instructions: First, cook the sausage and drain it. Melt butter in a pan and sprinkle bread over butter.Next, sprinkle drained sausage over bread crumbs. Add cheese over sausage. Beat eggs with half and half and salt; pour over mixture. Once the mixture is prepared, cover and let it rest for 8 hours (over the night)t. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Enjoy!

Total Time: 20 minutes.
